TABITHA STARK has never been one to pass up a challenge, so when her uncle LARRY offers Tabitha her first real estate marketing contract, she jumps at the chance. Finding investors in Alpine Meadows, a quirky and quaint rundown ski resort, won’t be easy, but Tabitha is determined to prove her uncle’s faith in her isn’t unfounded. ERIK HANSEN, the son of the resort owners, struggles to move on from a career ending ski accident, and for him Alpine Meadows is now a constant reminder of his lost dreams of Olympic glory. He hopes Tabitha can deliver a buyer for a more secure future for his parents and a new life for himself. The pressure is on Tabitha to navigate the roadblocks which make Alpine Meadows a difficult sell, given the absence of a basic internet connection, old lift equipment and cell service so spotty it’s only accessible from the roof of Tabitha’s cabin.
The resort’s laid back Norwegian charm soon works its magic on Tabitha and Erik. The attraction between them grows and Tabitha manages to reawaken Erik’s passion for Alpine Meadows, which leaves him conflicted over the impending sale, and Tabitha unaware of his changed feelings.
With opening day closing in fast and a delegation from Festive resorts arriving, Tabitha comes up with a plan, the centerpiece of which is the Snowball Games, a mini Olympic competition for the resort’s guests and their children.
Everything seems to be on track when disasters strike. The forecast is for rain not snow, the chair lift gives up the ghost, and a very unwelcome blackout threatens all the festivities. The rain clouds gather and the guests begin to arrive. Erik is now determined to take over the resort, while Tabitha is determined to make the Games a success and the sale happen. Each must decide whether they will let their opposing goals stand in the way of their new found love.
