An uplifting one-hour drama that celebrates love, family, and second chances in small-town America. Still smarting from a messy divorce, destiny reunites big-city attorney JESS PARSONS with SEAN BREEN, her “one that got away” twenty years ago. Determined to make good on this new opportunity for lasting love, Jess abruptly picks up stakes with her fourteen year-old son, OWEN. They move in with Sean and his two daughters, and pitch in to help run a modest resort in Sean’s hometown, the sleepy, rural hamlet of Hope Springs.
Oh, wait...did we mention the resort rests on historically Native land that’s been in Sean’s deceased wife’s family for generations, and he’s run it with his headstrong Indigenous mother-in-law, WINONA, since his wife passed away three years ago? This should go smoothly.
The series follows the sometimes heartrending, always heartwarming course Jess, Sean, and the crew traverse on their journey to forge a new family and find their collective happily ever after.
HOPE SPRINGS is an uplifting one-hour drama by Bill True, whose debut feature, Runaway, premiered to universal accolades at Tribeca and Toronto, took top prize at the Austin Film Festival, and was subsequently released by eOne Films.
